This is the first - definitely not the last - in The Colliding Worlds Series! by Tabitha Conall. I rated at four stars because it was an amazing read, the characters are so real that I wish I could meet them. This makes me want to get the series so I can enjoy them any time I have to read.
This is a definite must have for any one that enjoys Authors with artistic imagination, that creates people & places that could easily pop right out of the book.
This one may be short but it is all inclusive. I don't feel that I missed out on anything. I am somewhat of a picky reader. Though I am also an eclectic as far as Authors, genre's from Medieval times to Westerns. Contemporary, Regency along with mysteries taking place in different places and times.
HER KILTED WOLF is fast paced, not too much though.
Enjoy. Enjoy. Then really want to get the next in the series!
Don't forget about the Rules of reading.

Sassy, funny with a strong powerful lead heroine. She does not take anything from anyone after all she is number 6 which is high ranking especially for a woman. Her mate is not as high but she loves him anyway. Prepare to laugh and be amazed at this well written short novella.
This was a great start to an interesting series. I wish the story was longer but you get a good deal of information in so few pages that it was just right. I'm interested to see how the couple deal with actually being a couple.
Take a popular romance theme like werewolves, add a killer twist such as the Highlander/Scotland element, and you get an amazingly original story. I loved the fast pace and the engaging relationship between Mattie and MacPherson who at once fall in love but have to deal with the reality of living worlds apart, which was a nice hurdle you don't see everyday. The conclusion was completely satisfying and now I CAN'T WAIT to see what happens with the other characters such as Darius and Lachlan!
This is an ok story very short. There is a short build to them meeting, a sex scene, a short fight then the conclusion. I didn't like how chauvinistic the male lead is, but she can hold her own. If you are looking for a very short read, this is a good one.
What's not to love about werewolves and kilts? For me, the one fear was that it would not be done well. I know Scotland well, and find the Highlands one of the most dramatic and romantic landscapes in the world. Given this, I was a little wary of this book what if Connall - an author I've always enjoyed - somehow failed to capture the magic of the place? I should have known not to worry. In Her Kilted Wolf both setting and characters work well together, and almost immediately I was swept up in the romance and adventure of the story. A story perfectly paced and packed with incident, this is great stuff, and I can't wait to read more if the author revisits this setting.
WOW that was NOT nearly long enough to be satisfactory. I wanted to hear more about Mattie and how she fought to be sixth in her pack back in the States. I also wanted to hear SO MUCH MORE about Colin in general. The only thing of substance we got about him was his womanizing ways. So not good enough! *sigh*

I might like to find out more about the purpose behind the meeting between the Scotland, USA, and other packs. I'm intrigued by the whole backstory we received about humans dreaming up parallel supernatural worlds, and how they were draw to the human world, eventually intermingling with earth. That was pretty neat. Hope to hear A LOT MORE about that in the next books, should I decide to read them.
This is a very short read but funny, sexy, and hot. Mattie is with the alpha of her pack, in Scotland for meetings with the MacPhersons, a scottish wolf pack. The first night there she scents her mate, and goes looking for him, as her wolf wants him NOW. Colin MacPherson, a manwhore, is on the brink of having sex with another woman when he scents Mattie also. But even though he wants to go to her immediately, he can't because the smell of the other woman is on him. He runs while Mattie is chasing his scent. It was so funny, him running and, Mattie tracking him down. As soon as she finds him, they start mating like rabbits, or wolves, as the case may be. This is a fast paced short story so the action moves along quickly. The main character are amusing and so hot for each other.
